Research supported by the award should be relevant to the mission of the Cayman Biomedical Research Institute, CaBRI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those with unmet biomedical needs and conditions related to untreatable and inadequately treated diseases.
CaBRI Awards are open to basic science and/or clinical research collaborations. Additionally, the awards are available to domestic and international researchers, as well as collaborations between domestic and international groups.
The Principal Investigator (PI) positions on CaBRI Awards are open to investigators of any career-stage who are appropriately trained to lead an independent research study, and are permitted by their organizations to manage grants and supervise any key personnel.
Funds awarded are to be used solely for research. CaBRI does not fund excessive institutional overheads. CaBRI normally accepts no more than 10% institutional overhead.
Applications may be submitted at any time during the year. No deadlines.
